Good morning, flash fiction fans! We missed you last week. Although all the chocolate helped.
And now Easter is over and it’s QuickFic time once again.
If you’ve never played before, or you’ve forgotten how it all goes down, this is how:
At 9.50 of a Friday, we give you a prompt. You write a story of 250 words or less, using that prompt, and send them to us at firstname.lastname@example.org by 2.50 this very afternoon. No later.
At 3.30 we’ll announce the winner, and the winner will win lovely Faber books.
Here’s this week’s prompt:

Here are those books you could win:
We can’t wait to see what you come up with.
By entering our QuickFic writing competitions, you’re granting us non-exclusive worldwide permission to reprint your story on our website should you win. The winner will also get a chance to win a place on one of Start to Write one day courses, because at the end of the year we’ll be choosing our favourite of all the winners – the champion of champions, let’s say.
