About Us

Faber Academy exists to support
writers and their writing

By providing writing courses of the highest quality, with the best students and the best tutors – award-winning, working writers hand-picked from Faber and beyond – we can offer the best possible route towards the potential masterpiece in everyone.

Our focus is on creating the perfect environment for that to happen – warm and open, rigorous and supportive – for writers to find their story, their poem or their play, and to write it with confidence. That means Faber-standard author care for everyone, tutors and students alike.

As one of the great publishers, there is no one better placed to understand what a writer needs.

We know that what writers want to do is to write. They want support and they want structure, but all to one end: to write more, and write better.

That's why, on a Faber Academy writing course, you will always be focused on your own work. Because you have your own voice and your own stories, your own aims and experiences.

And it works. We know that writers who make the leap and join a course get just what they need. Blockbuster successes, great feedback and lasting friendships attest to the life-changing experiences Faber Academy writers can expect.

From the success stories of our alumni, to the personal commendations of our tutors and courses, Faber Academy is continuing the great tradition of Faber & Faber – by bringing more great writing into the world. We look forward to your contribution.
