Starting in June, Faber Academy and Mumsnet are going to be offering creative writing courses as part of their brand new Mumsnet Academy.
There's going to be all sorts on offer - we have a two-day publishing course, a week-long intensive daytime course, and a weekend of getting to grips with the basics of fiction-writing.
And that's just the creative writing! There's also entrepreneurship, cookery, gardening and philosophy, from people like Alain de Botton's School of Life, The Cookery School, and The School For Startups.
The courses are open to everyone, not just Mumsnetters - mums, dads, families, those without children and those whose children are all grown up.
Our boss here at the Academy, Jason Cooper, said: "We are very excited to be working with Mumsnet to provide creative writing classes tailored to the needs of busy parents. This is a significant strategic step, bringing the collective experience and expertise of a publishing house directly to Mumsnet's engaged membership."
The first course is "Fiction for Beginners", a two-day crash course with Joanna Briscoe, which takes place at Faber's Bloomsbury offices on 16-17 June.
If you'd like more info about any of these courses, you can follow Mumsnet Academy on Twitter at @MumsnetAcademy, visit mumsnet.com/academy, or give us a call on 0207 927 3827. Plus, look out for a live webchat with one of the tutors, the wonderful Louise Doughty, coming up next week.
